From its beginning in 1951, the South Haven Art Association (a.k.a. South Haven Center for the Arts) has grown from an idea into an institution. Our mission is Community Enrichment through the Arts by appreciation, study and performance.

We have been able to sustain this mission thanks to the generosity and support of many individuals, businesses and corporations from our community and region.

There are numerous ways you can join us in promoting creative expression in a caring and inspiring environment.  We ask that you consider a gift in support of the arts.

Cash Gifts: For tax deductions, please make your gift by December 31st of the year for which you wish to claim it.         

Un-restricted cash gift: Given for general operating expenses.  Your gift will support: art exhibits, kids summer art classes, annual Art Fair, educational programming, cultural collaborations, art advocacy and community enrichment through the arts.

Restricted cash gift: Given for a specific project, program or purchase.

This gift cannot be used for anything other than the purpose it was donated.

 
Examples of needed restricted gifts...

Underwriting an event such as a specific exhibit - $250-$600.

Office needs: $380 printer, $410 external back-up drive, $300 each for two air conditioners.

Matching Gifts: Many employers will match your contribution, doubling the amount of your gift. Ask if your company has a matching program. If so, request a form to include when sending the gift and we will do the rest!

Donations of Stock: We welcome contributions in the form of stock. You will receive a tax deduction for the full-market value of the stock at the time that the gift is made.

Planned Giving: You may choose to designate a planned gift in your will or living trust. Your financial advisors can help you make those arrangements, or you may call us to assist you. If you have already made such an arrangement, please contact our office so that we may recognize your planned gift in our donor listings.
